Behind every garment is a treasure trove of faces. Meet a small selection from the large group of heroes who make our clothes. We could write a whole book about all the faces behind Be Kind (maybe we will someday), but for now that is not feasible. We hope to give you a glimpse of the beauty behind the clothes. These 'Kind Faces' work in the Soeiro factory. You will find this company in a small town in Portugal, just outside the city of Porto. Soeiro is a beautiful family business with over 30 years of experience in the clothing industry. Here, a talented and enthusiastic team carefully assembles the Be Kind garments.

Zeza

Zeza is part of the sewing team and is a great talent. She plays an important role in the sampling department and also in the line production. She has been working at Soeiro for 12 years. In her free time, Zeza likes to be on the dance floor and does gymnastics. Zeza lives 5 minutes away from the factory and goes home for a nice lunch at noon.

Rosa

Rosa is Queen of Quality. All Be Kind clothing has passed through her fingers to check the quality and accuracy. Rosa has been working at Soeiro for 13 years. She enjoys her work and loves to see the final result of each garment. Her colleagues feel like a second family. When she is free, she likes to spend time with her friends and cuddle with her grandchild. Her favorite food is Bacalhau, a traditional Portuguese fish dish.

Celia

Célia coordinates the team of seamstresses. With her team, she has transformed all Be Kind designs into garments. She enjoys seeing everything come together. In her spare time, she is an avid Crossfitter and her favorite dish is 'Duck rice'. She has been working at Soeiro for 20 years and her colleagues feel like family. Célia lives near the factory and likes to go home for a little nap during her lunch break.

Manuela

Manuela is Princess Patronen. After her Modeling studies, Manuela started at Soeiro and has been working here for over 22 (!) years now. She has an eye for detail and knows how to translate every technical drawing into beautiful creations. Manuela prefers to spend her free time with her two children and she loves reading. Her favorite food is Portuguese, especially chicken with rice. She enjoys her versatile work and hopes for growth, structure and even more focus for her team.

Ana

Ana is the indispensable bridge between Be Kind and the makers. She has been working at Soeiro for 12 years and sees every day as a new opportunity to learn and enjoy. Ana is proud to be part of the Be Kind movement and loves challenges and finding solutions. For the clothing industry, Ana hopes that parents will set an example for children in making conscious choices. That parents show how important sustainability is. She dreams of an industry in which craftsmanship is valued again. She hopes that people will understand more about the beauty and complexity behind every piece of clothing. In her free time, she prefers to sleep, because since she became a mother, she has been lacking that. Ana dreams of a world in which her son can be himself, gets opportunities and is happy. She would like to give him the foundation of a stable family. She loves pasta with tuna or chicken and she enjoys cooking traditional dishes from Portugal.

Our Newest Production Partner, Dinadi in Nepal

Dinadi ensures that all knitters receive 115% of the living wage, and office staff receive 120%. They also foster a friendly community environment, allowing knitters to work from home and meet together in the office for games and community building.

When selecting production partners, one criterion I consider is whether I would want to work there myself. With our partners in Nepal, I definitely would.

I was impressed by their thoughtful approach to creating pieces and empowering the local community. They have cultivated an environment where culture is appreciated, and I would love to work there and am proud to partner with them!
